| What happens to my submission to Report an Issue? |
| you will receive an email within a week of your submission to let you know that your submission has been passed on to the appropriate subcommittee or issue point person. Leaders appointed by the Policy and Practice (P&P) Committee and NAFSA staff will read your input. You can follow how P&P uses input through the P&P Monthly Update. Additionally, at the end of the month, summaries of all submissions are posted to the IssueNet Monthly Update website, and a notification will be sent when your issue is posted. |
| How does Policy and Practice Committee prioritize the issues they receive? |
| The P&P Committee, public policy staff, and regulatory practice staff follow guidelines for prioritizing issues. Your submissions help them to measure the breadth and depth of the impact of regulations or policies on U.S. and international students, scholars, international faculty, and U.S. institutions. |
| How can I get involved? |
| Update the Public Policy and Regulatory Practice section of your Expertise Profile. Add all of the education abroad or immigration areas in which you would like to volunteer as a resource. Join the Advocacy Centered Team (ACT) and watch for alerts from the Take Action Center. Subscribe to one or more Discussion Forums and develop virtual person-to-person contacts and share questions and ideas about the day-to-day operations of your office. |
