Biometrics for refugee travel documents and re-entry permits to be collected at ASCs

Effective March 5, 2008, applicants for re-entry permits and refugee travel documents must provide fingerprints and photographs at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) in connection with their applications. This policy only applies to I-131s filed for:
  • Refugee Travel Documents
  • Reentry Permits for lawful permanent residents who will be outside the U.S. for more than one year
It does not apply to I-131s filed by applicants for adjustment of status requesting advance parole.
