Continuity of Operations Planning for SEVP-Approved Schools

In light of the lessons learned during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published this fact sheet on August 26, 2008 in recognition of the need to plan for unexpected situations.  DHS and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) encourage all SEVP-certified schools to prepare a Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan.
