We believe that students learn skills while abroad that give them a competitive edge in the job market. However, if students cannot succinctly and effectively articulate what they gained from an international experience, employers will fail to see the benefits derived from education abroad.

This toolkit facilitates the creation of a study abroad “pitch”—a short summary of the skills learned abroad. This powerful re-entry exercise helps students reflect and name what was attained abroad and reinforces the value of education abroad to employers.
