Opening Reception

Come enjoy the unique jazz style of the Andy Weyl Jazz Trio as you reconnect with old friends and meet new colleagues in the elegant Lake Terrace Room of the Broadmoor Hotel. This pianist's truly unique style developed overseas, as he was born in Denmark, and spent his youth traveling across Europe. Over the years, Weyl has played and recorded with the region's best jazz musicians, and performs at clubs and festivals across the nation and Europe, frequently backing up visiting artists of note, such as James Moody, Tom Harrell, Benny Golson, Spike Robinson, Eddie Harris, Al Grey, and Bruce Foreman. Weyl is accompanied by Rob Dando on bass and Kevin Smith on drums.

Region II 50th Anniversary Reception

Join current and former NAFSA Region II members in celebrating Region II's 50th anniversary. There will be a reception, short program, and a chance to meet and talk with old friends about memories of NAFSA over the years. Many retired colleagues have been invited, so please come welcome them.
Restaurant Hop
Wednesday, November 9, 6:30 p.m.
Take the Restaurant Hop shuttle downtown to discover one of Colorado Springs featured restaurants. After dinner, explore downtown Colorado Springs and catch the last shuttle back to the Broadmoor. Sign up at the hospitality table for selected restaurants. Registration fee covers the cost of the shuttle only.

Did you know that the SEVIS Help Desk is located right in Colorado Springs? You can join your colleagues and meet the folks who listen to our SEVIS technical problems every day. We will tour the SEVIS facility and have a Q&A session with the Service Relations Manager. Participants will be transported from the Broadmoor by bus and tours will take approximately two and a half hours. Pre-registration is required at the registration table in the International Hall.

Cheyenne Lodge Buffet & Silent Auction
Thursday, November 10, 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Nestled high in the foothills overlooking the city of Colorado Springs, the rustic-chic Cheyenne Lodge provides the perfect western setting for an evening meal and presentation of Native American dances performed by the Seven Falls Indian Dancers. The Seven Falls Dancers represent four generations of family members from the Pawnee, Flandreau Santee-Sioux, Crow Creek Sioux, and Cheyenne River Sioux tribes who perform regularly throughout Colorado. While at the Lodge, don't forget to take part in the silent auction and gather by the outdoor fireplace where you will be mesmerized by the sparkling stars above and the shimmering lights of the city below.
