This year's conference is hoping to have sessions related to the theme "Through the Grapevine: Sharing Solutions in International Education." Submissions are encouraged from all areas, and some current hot topics in the community include:

  • Advising for students at satellite campuses
  • The environmental cost/impact of international education
  • Advising and services for short-term inbound programs
  • Using technology to communicate effectively (getting students to read what we send them!)
  • Supporting students with low-incomes in study abroad or ISSS
  • Supporting diverse student bodies in education abroad or ISSS
  • Re-entry programming for international students returning to their home country
  • K-12 international education and trends
  • Navigating gray areas/uncertainty in immigration regulations
  • Mental health support for international students (both study abroad and ISSS)
  • Supporting and working with undocumented students
  • Study away programs: growth of domestic programming
  • Data collection and insight (both study abroad and ISSS)
