Unauthorized employment can take many shapes, particularly as the concept of work evolves over time. Educating international students and scholars on this topic can prove to be challenging given the multitude of avenues for generating income. Join our panel for an informative presentation on unauthorized employment through the lens of the international adviser. The presentation will include an examination of what constitutes employment, how to equip international students and scholars with information to prevent unauthorized work, and the extent to which DSOs/AROs play a role in its detection and enforcement. Panelists are seasoned professionals with a wide range of institutional expertise. Questions will be addressed, as time allows, at the end of the presentation. The content is relevant to international student and scholar services professionals from beginner level to advanced.

NAFSA Peer-to-Peer Perspectives facilitate an online dialogue between international education professionals. Participants should come prepared to listen, learn, and share with their peers.
