Asinda Sirignano has worked in the field of international education for 12 years and currently serves as the co-chair of the NAFSA Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion. As the Global Engagement Project Manager within the University of Michigan's Provost’s Office, Asinda provides campus-wide health, safety, and intercultural learning support to all University of Michigan units. In collaboration with various entities, Asinda develops and maintains shared travel resources and coordinates campus-wide networks and working groups related to international education, including a marketing group who design diversity-related resources to be used campus-wide. She also delivers international travel design and implementation workshops for academic units and on-demand student workshops on topics such as health and safety, cultural adjustment and humility, and travel preparation logistics. Asinda is originally from Jos, Nigeria where she attended a diverse, international K- 12 school before she traveled to the US as an international student. She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint, and a bachelor's degree in International Studies from Bridgewater College.
