On April 22, 2010, The Department of State Office of Designation published a 60-day comment notice on Forms DS-3036 and DS-3037, which are used by exchange visitor programs to apply for designation, redesignation, or amendment of a program. The notice also references Form DS-7000, which, according to DOS, "is not actually a form, but a listing of all collections under 22 CFR Part 62 (such as placement reports, au pair audits, etc.)" DOS will accept comments from the public "up to 60 days from April 22, 2010."

Forms DS-3036 and DS-3037 are generated through SEVIS. NAFSA obtained copies of these two proposed forms from DOS, which are included in this NAFSA library document along with the Federal Register notice. The changes proposed are for the current SEVIS I system only, and do not relate to any changes that might be required for the eventual SEVIS II system.

NAFSA submitted comments on the proposed forms on June 14, 2010.
