The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released a report on its review of the government’s progress in implementing SEVIS. The OIG states that they have found that SEVIS has not yet been “fully implemented” as required by statute. The OIG includes a set of recommendations that the government should follow, as well as the BICE (Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which now oversees SEVIS within the Department of Homeland Security) response to the report.
