NAFSA’s Executive Internationalization Leadership e-Institute (e-Institute) provides executive-level internationalization leadership training for international education professionals responsible for implementing internationalization at their institutions. The program is designed for leaders with more than three years of experience who are currently in an internationalization leadership role at institutions of higher education in the United States and around the world.
When is this program offered?
- The program is offered on an annual basis running from August through July.
- Asynchronous content, learning, and networking activities will be provided in-between each unit.
What’s included?
- Participants in the e-Institute will be provided with a portfolio of related resources which draw from and include rich content featured in NAFSA books, publications, white papers, webinars, presentations, and workshops.
- All participants will be able to leverage elements of the NAFSA’s International Education Professional Competencies for their unique needs.
- Access to all four units, online materials, and virtual learning and networking opportunities.
- Individualized mentoring and assistance.

- The program is designed for leaders with more than three years of experience who are currently in an internationalization leadership role at institutions of higher education in the United States and around the world.
What is the time commitment?
- The format of this program is flexible in terms of course component completion to accommodate the demands of a leadership position. Asynchronous and synchronous content will be offered. This will include recorded content and resources distributed for advanced completion (pre-work), followed by a synchronous session for further discussion and Q&A with each unit's faculty.
