Sustainability and Internationalization in Latin America and the Caribbean: Perspectives, Practices and Opportunities

Thursday, May 30, 2024
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. CDT
New Orleans, Louisiana

NAFSA welcomes you to join us as the 2024 Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Forum on May 30 in New Orleans, a special Signature Program included with registration for the NAFSA 2024 Annual Conference & Expo. No additional registration or fee required to attend!

Latin America and Caribbean universities offer a wide scenario of opportunities for the development of innovative initiatives that contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, intercultural dialogue and inclusion, and engagement with local communities. These “glocal” initiatives nurturing local and global engagement characterize the internationalization strategies of many Latin American and Caribbean institutions. The 2024 NAFSA LAC Forum features a panel of experts from the region presenting examples of sustainability initiatives and opportunities for collaboration with the region. Country and region networking roundtables allow attendees time to discuss prospects and possible joint actions for engagement.
