The stability and strength that has sustained NAFSA for more than 70 years is possible in large part to the generosity of its donors. There are many opportunities for you to give back to your professional association, from pledging to NAFSA through your bequest/wills to donating at the annual conference.
CARES Act Increases Deductions for Charitable Contributions
Congress has recognized that the gifts donors provide to nonprofits is a crucial way everyone can help in this crisis. Thanks to the Coronoavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, you can support NAFSA while saving money on your taxes next year. For more information, contact your tax advisor.
NAFSA Rise Fellowship
The NAFSA RISE Fellowship honors the richness of human diversity and the essential power of discussion and collaboration across geographic and other boundaries through representation, inclusion, support, and empowerment.
Every Leader Campaign
The Every Leader Campaign supports the NAFSA RISE Fellowship and is a chance for all NAFSA's elected and appointed member-leaders to contribute to the Annual Fund. Launched in 2003, it takes place at the annual Washington Leadership Meeting (WLM).
Annual Conference Campaign
The largest Annual Fund campaign takes place every year at NAFSA's annual conference, and this year will support the NAFSA RISE Fellowship.
End of the Year Campaign
The End of the Year Campaign is formulated by the thoughts of NAFSA's current president, who drafts and signs the annual appeal letter. NAFSA encourages all to donate, and no amount is too small as we end the year with this final campaign in support of the NAFSA RISE Fellowship.
Memorial or Honor Gifts
Gifts in memory or honor of someone will benefit NAFSA far into the future, and it will leave a lasting legacy of the honoree. These gifts may be made by an individual donor or by a group of people the honored individual inspired.
Many companies offer workplace giving programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. We accept financial gifts from workplace giving programs. Check with your employer to see if you can use a payroll deduction program to give to NAFSA.
