The Region of Opportunities

Advocacy Day Each March, Region X-ers head to Washington, DC to meet with their state representatives and advocate for international education. After a day of training and strategizing, you will head to Capitol Hill with all the tools you need to educate your members of Congress on how international education impacts your state and district and why we need a more globally engaged United States.

Upstate/Downstate Meetings One day events held in the summer after the national conference to share information and provide training. When possible, one workshop is offered around these meetings.

Recognition Region X celebrates its membership by providing the James O'Driscoll Distinguished Service Award, the Lifetime Service Award, the Rising Professional Award and a Special Service Recognition Award.

Travel Grants When possible, Region X offers support to members attending regional or national trainings. Announcements are sent via the membership listserv and the public Region X listserv.
