NAFSA has reserved a variety of hotel rooms at different rates and with varying amenities in downtown Houston. Rooms fill quickly, so don’t delay in making your reservation.
The InterContinental Houston Hotel-Galleria has been added to NAFSA housing block. Complimentary shuttle transportation will be provided to ensure conference attendees have easy access to the George R. Brown Convention Center daily.
Rates range between $139 and $229 per night single/double occupancy, plus applicable tax and service charges. All hotel reservations must be made directly with the NAFSA 2012 Housing Bureau.
Several of the conference hotels are within walking distance of the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRBCC), while others are a short distance away. NAFSA will provide limited shuttle service each morning and evening to a number of the hotels within the NAFSA block.
Please be aware of unauthorized and non-affiliated housing companies that may try to contact attendees for the purpose of reserving hotel rooms. NAFSA does not recognize these organizations and cannot honor reservations made through housing companies other than Integrated Housing Solutions, NAFSA's official housing company.
Reservation Procedures
The online housing reservation deadline passed on April 27, 2012. Rooms and rates are now based upon availability.

Note: Do not send your Official Housing Form to the NAFSA office in Washington, DC. This will delay your room request.
Many hotels require a minimum 4-night stay with the exception of the Crowne Plaza Hotel Downtown, Doubletree by Hilton Downtown, Hilton Americas, and Hyatt Regency Houston.
Cancellations
From Friday, April 27 - May 14, 2012, a $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card used at time of placing reservation. A $25.00 refund processing fee will be applied to all cancellations with check deposits. Starting Tuesday, May 15, 2012, all requests and cancellations will be processed by the hotel. Hotel will charge a one night's room/tax for reservations cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival date. There is an early departure fee of $50.00.
