Today, nearly 100 NAFSAns went to Capitol Hill to advocate for international education and exchange. As part of Advocacy Day 2009, these NAFSA members discussed the transformative impact of a global education with members of Congress and their staff. Through the great work of all involved, two additional Senators agreed to sign on as co-sponsors of the Senator Paul Simon Study Abroad Foundation Act (S. 473) and many Representatives expressed an interest in supporting the bill once it's introduced in the House. The NAFSA staff thanks everyone who made this Advocacy Day a success.
