NAFSA 2026 Global by Design Annual Conference & Expo

NAFSA 2027 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015) in Los Angeles, California on June 1 - 4, 2027.

ADA Shuttles: On-demand shuttle services are available for attendees with disabilities, providing transportation between conference venues.

Wheelchair Accessibility: The public sidewalks surrounding the convention center feature curb cuts for wheelchair access. Elevators are conveniently located near meeting rooms, common areas, and in the expo hall. Telephones, drinking fountains, and restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible.

Convention Center Mobility Scooter Rentals: Scooter rentals can be arranged upon request for attendees who may require mobility assistance during the conference. Secure your rental via the ScootAround webpage or contact ScootAround via email at [email protected] or phone at 1-800-441-7575. Scooter delivery is located at the convention center or to your hotel.

Hearing Impaired Services: Please notify us in advance if you require American Sign Language Interpretation through email at [email protected].

Sight Impaired Information: Tactile Braille signage is located in the entrances of all meeting rooms, restrooms, and inside and outside of all passenger elevators.

Service Animals: Animals are not permitted on the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) premises expect when in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Animals that are approved to be on the convention center premises must be on a leash, within a pen, or under similar control. The owner will be fully responsible for their animal(s). Please contact LACC any concerns.

Lactation Room: Located in Room 302, the NAFSA provided lactation room facility offers a private and quiet environment equipped with comfortable seating, a refrigerator for storing milk, and amenities to support breastfeeding or pumping needs. This is a dedicated space that ensures that mothers can attend sessions and network with confidence, knowing that their needs are accommodated. Please inquire at the registration desk for more information on accessing the lactation room during the conference.

To request documentation from NAFSA, you will need to fill out the Visa Invitation Letter Request. Please check with your local U.S. Consulate to allow sufficient time for visa processing. Your request for a letter of invitation to attend the NAFSA Annual Conference does not guarantee you will obtain a visa. Individuals submitting requests for letters of invitation are expected to provide sufficient proof of professional or academic affiliation with the field of international education and/or the NAFSA: Association of International Educators as whole.

Volunteering is a great way to network while getting reimbursed for registration. Volunteers may be reimbursed 50-100 percent of the general conference registration fee paid. Sign-up for NAFSA 2027 volunteer opportunities open mid- March.

Members of the media interested in covering NAFSA's 2026 Annual Conference & Expo must apply for a NAFSA Media Pass by submitting the media pass request form.

The NAFSA Media Pass is limited to working journalists at media outlets with an established record of producing original, news-focused editorial coverage and is intended for the express purpose of gathering news and information to produce media coverage of the meeting. A maximum of two passes will be granted to qualifying media outlets.
