Study, Work, Internships and Volunteering Abroad this SummerMay 16, 2012
As you know, education abroad is a growing field beyond study abroad that includes Work, Internships, and Volunteering Abroad (WIVA). The NAFSA Education Abroad Knowledge Community WIVA Subcommittee working group on career-related resources recently created various resources to help international educators prepare students for careers. Some of the working group's resources focus on social media etiquette, global résumés and cover letters, and assessment models for pre- and post international summer internship experiences completed by students.
Remember NAFSA's Education Abroad (EA) Visa Help online tool, which is an accurate and reliable resource for help with U.S. student visa issues. EA Visa Help allows study abroad professionals to submit questions and get help from NAFSA's Consular Affairs Liaisons on specific visa issues for U.S. students and faculty studying abroad. You don't need to be a member to use EA Visa Help—all you need is a NAFSA log in.
