The purpose of Region V is to advance NAFSA's mission within the region's specified area by developing and implementing appropriate activities to such purposes, and by responding to the particular needs of its members. NAFSA Region V, composed of Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin, has approximately 800 members representing more than 250 institutions. We hope you find this site both practical and helpful. 2012 Region V Conference - Call for Proposals Open!
The 2012 Region V Conference will be held in Madison, Wisconsin at the Concourse Hotel from October 24-26, 2012 and we are asking you to consider submitting a session proposal.
There are many topics that you may choose to cover in your session. Some of these topics may include:

- Study Abroad
- SEVIS and SEVIS II

- Country Specific Information
- International Student Recruitment

Contact your colleagues and start brainstorming now! Your proposal can be submitted on-line by clicking here. Proposals must be received by June 25, 2012 for consideration.

RAP Knowledge Community Name Change
The Recruitment, Admission, and Preparation Knowledge Community (RAP KC) has been renamed to International Enrollment Management (IEM). This change will be updated on the "About" page for our Region V IEM Co-Chairs.
Region V Institution wins the Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization
Congrats to Region V’s own University of Michigan for receiving a 2012 Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization.
