Call for Proposals - NAFSA Region XI Conference

Where: NAFSA Region XI Conference, Portland, ME
When: November 12 - 14, 2012
What: Proposals for 90-Minute Sessions, Poster Sessions, Half or Full-Day Workshops
Theme: "Guiding Internationalization: You Can Get There From Here"

Please submit proposals for sessions and/or workshops that relate to international education. Proposals that address interdisciplinary perspectives, with presenters from a variety of institutions, are encouraged. Innovative and informative proposal themes should relate to the NAFSA Knowledge Community areas of interest listed below.

• International Student and Scholar Services (KC-ISSS)
• Education Abroad (KC-EA)
• Recruitment, Admissions and Preparation (KC-RAP)
• International Education Leadership (KC-IEL)
• Teaching, Learning and Scholarship (KC-TLS)

Submit your proposal

Deadline for proposal submissions: Friday, May 4th. Notifications regarding proposals will be sent out early-July.

To complete your proposal, you will need to submit a title and brief description of your session, along with the names, affiliations and emails of your co-presenters, and room set-up and audio visual requests.

This year, we are offering a $40 discount off of conference registration for session/workshop chairs, and up to five (5) accompanying presenters, whose proposals are accepted for presentation. To receive this discount:

• Proposals must be submitted by the proposal deadline of Friday, May 4th, 2012
• Only one discount per person for the entire conference registration (no multiple discounts)
