NAFSA Advocacy Day
March 13-14, 2017
Each year, Region X sends a group of seasoned Advocacy Day representatives and some first timers to NAFSA's annual event in Washington, DC. Our members meet with their state and local congressional representatives to inform, promote and discuss important issues and legislation affecting international education.
Help move key legislation at NAFSA's 2017 Advocacy Day. Speak out for students, scholars, and policies that matter to you!
After a day of training and strategizing, you will head to Capitol Hill with all the tools you need to educate Congress on how international education impacts your state and district and why we need a more globally engaged and welcoming United States. Personal meetings will be scheduled for you with your elected officials and their staff in both the Senate and House of Representatives.
Register by January 10 to take advantage of early-bird savings.
You must be logged in to register. If you do not have a NAFSA account, create one for free. Ask your NAFSA regional leadership team about travel grant opportunities.
Student Rate: Full-time undergraduate and graduate students attending with a full-time professional are welcome to register at the discounted student rate. Limit 3 students per professional.
