Daphne Orr

Director of International Student Programs

2019 Region VII Academy Coach.

Orr is the director of international student programs at Oxford College of Emory University. She began her career in international education more than 20 years ago as an ESL instructor. In her current role, she serves as the DSO for international students, designs programs to assist students with their transition to life in the US and an American college, and works with various student groups on leadership development. She has been involved with NAFSA for many years, serving on the Crisis Management Task Force, and then serving as chair of the NAFSA Subcommittee on Crisis Management from 2012-2014. She was a NAFSA Academy trainee and is thrilled for the opportunity to serve in the program now as a coach. She earned her MS in conflict management from Kennesaw State University and her BA in German from Tulane University. In 2014, Orr participated as Fulbright: International Educator’s Seminar grantee to Germany.
