Over the past decade, Darin has made significant and numerous contributions to improving access, equity, and inclusion for students, faculty, and administrators in the field of education abroad. Currently as CAPA’s manager of institutional relations, equity and inclusion Initiatives, he develops programs and funding programs targeted to expand opportunities and access to education abroad.

Based in Los Angeles, he works with CAPA partner institutions on the West Coast and Pacific Northwest and oversees a team of institutional relations managers.

He has led numerous trainings and presentations on program development and diversity and inclusion in education abroad at CAPA, colleges and universities, and national and regional conferences, including Diversity Abroad, The Forum on Education Abroad, and NAFSA Annual and Regional Conferences.

Darin leads the CAPA Diversity & Inclusion Committee, has served on the Diversity Abroad Diversity Network High School Student Task Force, the Global Student Leadership Summit Planning Committee, participated in the AIDE Roadmap 2.0 Working Group, and served on the Lessons from Abroad Curriculum Review Committee, and is an alumni of the NAFSA Management Development Program.

He is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he studied political science. He earned an MPA in public sector management and leadership from California State University Northridge.
