Heather Thompson

Heather Thompson is the director of education abroad at The University of Texas at Austin. She is responsible for the coordination and development of reciprocal exchanges, affiliations, and a wide array of customized programs that span the 14 academic colleges and schools. She leads a team of 18 study abroad professionals responsible for student advising and academic collaboration. Heather has been involved with education abroad since 1994. She is actively engaged in NAFSA: Association of International Educators and presents regularly at national conferences on topics related to access, diversity, and financial aid.
