Jesse Haas is the director of the Therapy Animal Program at Pet Partners in Bellevue, WA. She’s based out of her home office in Minneapolis, MN. Pet Partners’ mission is to improve human health and well-being through the human animal bond. Pet Partners serves over 10,000 volunteers who, together with their animals, visit people in hospitals, retirement communities, schools, the criminal justice system, and hundreds of additional environments. The organization began expanding outside the United States in 2017 and now operates in 11 additional countries. Through her work, Jesse has developed an expertise in animal-assisted interventions and routinely helps individuals and organizations better understand therapy animals, emotional support animals, and service animals.
Previous to her work with Pet Partners, Jesse spent 10 years working in study abroad at Bard College in New York and at Augsburg College in Minnesota. She holds a master of arts in international education from the School for International Training
