William Shuey

William Shuey serves as the sponsored relations manager for the Office of Global Programs at Penn State University, with a portfolio of nearly 70 sponsoring organizations which account for 800+ sponsored students. William manages a sponsored student support infrastructure and leads sponsored student recruitment efforts in over 15 countries, in collaboration with leadership across the University. William also serves as the chair of the NAFSA Sponsored Program Administration Members Interest Group (SPA MIG), an organization of over 400 international education professionals. William is a graduate of Penn State University, with a BA in international politics and business, and the University of Pittsburgh, with a master's of public administration. After completing a Fulbright Fellowship in Kazakhstan, William continued working in the republic as communications manager at KIMEP University and participant recruiter at the American Councils for International Education. William worked in the region for nearly three years before joining the Penn State Global Operations and Learning leadership team in 2016.
