Live from Discovery Green, it's Adam Chen and Cory Owen. We want to personally welcome you to Houston for the 2012 NAFSA Annual Conference! While you’re not busy attending sessions, networking, or visiting the Expo Hall, be sure to spend some time exploring Houston.

Adam Chen is on the Local Arrangement Committee for the NAFSA 2012 Annual Conference & Expo, chairing the Student-Mentor Program. He is an international admissions counselor at the University of Houston. He attended Ohio University, where he taught introductory linguistics courses, advised international students, conducted programming, and obtained his MA in linguistics and MEd in College Student Personnel.

Cory Owen serves as the Support Staff Chair for the NAFSA 2012 Annual Conference & Expo. Cory works at Rice University and is the Program Manager and Senior International Advisor. She is also a Residential Advisor in one of Rice’s eleven residential colleges. Cory is currently pursuing her doctorate in higher education administration at the University of Houston. She has served in various capacities in NAFSA including local arrangement committees, regional registrar, and is currently serving on the Exchange Visitor Program subcommittee of the International Student and Scholar Regulatory Practice Committee. She recently returned from a Fulbright seminar in Germany.
