Future Regional Conferences

Beginning in 2027, NAFSA's 11 geographic regions across the United States will collaborate to host four regional hub conferences in the fall, rather than 11 individual regional conferences. This pilot to a hub conference model will continue through fall 2030. 

At a regional hub conference, you can expect:

• An approachable setting focused on the U.S.-based international education community near you
• More opportunities to build professional connections across a larger geographic area in the United States
• Timely, peer-driven learning designed for you as an international educator
• Expanded access to exhibitors, partners, and resources

Your NAFSA region will remain a volunteer-powered community with its own identity and local opportunities to stay engaged throughout the year. What is changing is how regions work together to deliver their fall conferences. Regional hub conferences will remain distinct from other NAFSA events, including the NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo. They will continue to offer practical professional development, trusted expertise, meaningful networking, and regional perspectives at a scale designed to make participation accessible and valuable.

Interested in presenting? The Call for Proposals is expected to open in April 2027 and through June 2027.

Start planning! Make plans now to participate in a 2027 NAFSA regional hub conference: an opportunity to invest in your professional growth, strengthen your network, and bring updates and ideas back to your institution.
