Join NAFSA staff for a high-level discussion of the proposed rule to eliminate “D/S” (duration of status) for F and J nonimmigrants. The rule was published in the Federal Register on August 28, with a 30-day comment period (and 60 days for the “information collection” portion, which we’ll explain). We’ll share our initial perspectives, review some key aspects of the rule and how they might impact F and J programs. We’ll also discuss NAFSA’s response, particularly our planned comment letter, how you may contribute to it, and considerations for your own comment letter. As always, we also want to hear from you about how the proposed rule if implemented might impact you, your students and scholars, your office, and your campus.

We realize that this is the busiest time of year for many of you, so the webinar will be recorded.
