Aaron Clevenger, EdD
Aaron Clevenger is the International Education Leadership (IEL) and Teaching, Learning, Scholarship (TLS) Knowledge Community liaison for Region VII, and the 2020-2021 National Academy Coach. Aaron serves as the assistant provost and dean of international programs for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he supervises international admissions, study abroad, international student and scholar services, the Embry-Riddle Language Institute, international student experience, and the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. He is an adjunct professor in the Department of Security Studies and International Affairs and has led study abroad programs to Jamaica, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Romania, Hungary, and Brazil. Aaron graduated with a bachelor of arts in interpersonal communication and a master of arts in educational leadership both from the University of Central Florida. In addition, he holds a master of science in human security and resilience from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a doctorate of education in higher education and organizational change from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. Aaron has published articles regarding character education, human rights, experiential learning, motivational theory, and reflective pedagogy. In his free time, Aaron can be found passionately cheering at soccer matches, frequently being forced by his trainer to go to the gym, and exploring the world having traveled to 51 countries in the past ten years.
