Aaron Clevenger, EdD
Aaron Clevenger is the Assistant Provost for International Education and Senior International Officer at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he provides strategic leadership for international student and scholar services, education abroad, English as a second language programs, and institutional internationalization.
Aaron began with Embry-Riddle in 2004 and moved from Student Affairs to International Education in 2015. With extensive experience in international enrollment and international student and scholar services, he has worked closely with F-1 and J-1 populations, overseeing regulatory compliance and institutional policies that support student success. His work emphasizes aligning student support with federal regulations while advancing access, opportunity, and a strong sense of belonging for international students.
Aaron serves as the 2026 Chair of the NAFSA Academy. He is a two-time Academy Coach and previously served as Co-Lead for Programs and Events for the International Education Leadership Knowledge Community, in addition to prior leadership roles in Region VII.
Aaron holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida, a Master of Science in Human Security and Resilience from Embry-Riddle, and a Doctor of Education from Benedictine University.
