Alexis Akagawa

Alexis M. Akagawa is the Senior International Student Advisor at Columbia University where she provides a high volume of international students advisory and documentation services and information on a host of issues related to employment, visas, enrollment, travel and more. She was named the 2022 NAFSA Advocate of the Year for her outstanding commitment to engaging with federal officials to advance the field and is a very active member of NAFSA Region X and the One to World nonprofit organization.
