University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
Arkansas Representative, Region III

Allyson Douglass is the International Student Advisor for all international students at UAMS, as well as assists with recruitment efforts and handles all event planning for the Graduate School. After two years she began working in the Office of International Services as the International Student Coordinator. Her love for culture and people has allowed her to keep in touch with students past and present. She became the Assistant Director of International Services in 2009 as well as completed the NAFSA Class VI Academy. In 2013 she had the opportunity to branch out farther into immigration by becoming the HR Senior Consultant in HR Immigration Services at UAMS. There she expanded her knowledge of immigration topics from just F-1 and J-1 student immigration to other various immigration visas and also HR employment processing. While she loved this area and learned a lot she was fortunate enough to realize that her heart was working with students, both international and domestic, and was able to step back into that area in May 2015 in the Graduate School at UAMS. She joined the Non-Profit world on behalf of her nephew in 2019 and returned to International Education in 2021.
