Anastasia Fynn, MBA is the director of international student and scholar services at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where she leads the department and has served in this role for five years. Before her role as director at Embry-Riddle, Anastasia worked as the senior international student adviser at Virginia International University. She also served as an international student adviser at Strayer University. At Embry-Riddle, Anastasia leads a team of international education professionals whose main goal is to help create successful environments for international students and advocate for matters that directly affect their experiences. She is also responsible for implementing strategies that help students and scholars be successful and is very passionate about creating avenues for internationalization and leading dialogue on the importance of globalization on campus.
She is a NAFSA leader currently serving as the Region VII liaison for the Knowledge Community for International Student and Scholar Services (KC ISSS) and previously served on the International Student and Scholar Regulatory Practice Committee (ISS RP) Exchange Visitor Program subcommittee. She has presented sessions at both the regional and annual conferences for NAFSA and has served as a session and poster reviewer. Anastasia has over 9 years of experience as an international educator and holds a BA in political science and English from the University of Ghana and an MBA in international business from Strayer University. She also serves on the board of the Florida Association of International Educators (FAIE) and is currently working on a second master’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical in Human Security and Resilience.
