Currently, I am the Assistant Director for International Retention at Washington State University having moved up from the Lead International Student Advisor at WSU. Previously, I spent 5 years in South Korea as a student, teacher, and as an administrator as a District Coordinator for the Korean Government's English Program in Korea (EPiK) and have extensively traveled around Asia. In my current role I work to remove institutional barriers within the University to facilitate student retention and engagement both socially and academically. As such I work closely with campus partners like the Dean of Student's Office, the Conduct Office, Attorney General Office, Athletics, Registrar, Bursars Office, HR, Payroll Services, and several other academic departments and student support services. Additionally, I oversee WSU's International Center which offers intercultural communication opportunities, leadership roles, and a variety of global programs for the campus and community. I have held various leadership positions with professional organizations most currently with NAFSA Region I as the ISS Regulatory Practice Regional Liaison.
