Dale LaFleur, PhD

Senior Director, Academic Affairs & Internationalization
NAFSA: Association of International Educators

Dale LaFleur, PhD, is the senior director, academic affairs and internationalization at NAFSA: Association of International Educators. In this role, she leads the association’s strategies to support global learning and higher education internationalization by producing, planning, and delivering programs, publications and services in collaboration with the knowledge communities for International Education Leadership and Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship. Prior to joining NAFSA, Dale worked in the field of international education for over twenty years focusing on the development of institutional partnerships, student mobility and leadership programs at both the University of Arizona and Seattle University. She received her PhD in higher education from the University of Arizona and served as an instructor for Leadership Strategies and a guest lecturer in Comparative Education. She is also a part-time faculty in the International Education Leadership master’s program at Northern Arizona University. Professionally, in 2013 she was selected as a member of the Fulbright International Education Administrator Program to Japan and in 2014 was invited to participate in the Baden-Württemberg Administrator Seminar in Germany. Dale has written several articles and lead workshops on international partnership development and strategic internationalization.
