Eduardo Contreras Jr. is the director of studies abroad and serves on the faculty of the School of Education at the University of Portland. He is also the chair of the university's internationalization task force--the Collaborative on International Studies and Global Outreach (CISGO), and is a member of the President's Advisory Committee on Inclusion. With nearly two decades in public and private U.S. post-secondary education, Dr. Contreras has a long-term commitment to inclusive excellence and international education. At Harvard, he served on the Dean's Global Education Task Force and taught a course on internationalization in higher education. At UP, he teaches courses on the history of American higher education and on inclusive excellence in colleges and universities. He has also written and presented extensively on international education and inclusion. In addition to an EdM and EdD from Harvard, he has a BA in history an MA in Asian cultures and languages from the University of Texas at Austin.
