Gerardo L. Blanco, EdD, is associate professor and associate director of the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College. He is also a Fulbright Specialist and a former Erasmus+ Teaching Fellow. His research explores the intersections of quality and internationalization in higher education. Blanco has been a visiting faculty member at Shaanxi Normal University (China), visiting expert at the International Centre for Higher Education Research (INCHER) at the University of Kassel (Germany) and teaching fellow at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Poland). He earned his EdD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He previously served as the Internationalizing Teaching, Learning, & Curriculum (ITLC) Network Leader & Subcommittee Chair for the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Knowledge Community (TLS KC).
