Hannah Marie Morris, PhD, is a training instructor at the U.S. Department of State's Foreign Service Institute and co-founder of Intercultural Transitions, a nonprofit focused on supporting students as they make educational transitions between cultures. In her professional work she has designed and provided resilience sessions supporting students and adults as they navigate cross-cultural environments. Prior to working with the Department of State, Morris spent a decade in academia where she worked with students and faculty in study abroad and international exchange environments while completing her PhD in higher education with a focus on intercultural learning at the University of Florida. As a member of NAFSA's Intercultural Communication and Training subcommittee she combines her expertise in supporting resilience in individuals and organizations with her personal experience living and working in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Morris currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her spouse and their adorable rescue dog, Amelia.
