Holly Carter, PhD

Holly Carter, PhD, has worked in international education for 20 years and held senior leadership positions at multiple universities. She is currently the principal of Harlaxton College in the UK and associate professor of sociology at the University of Evansville. Originally from Texas, Carter has lived in France, Tunisia, Scotland, and England. She has an MPhil from the University of Glasgow and a PGCHE from the University of Surrey Roehampton in England, as well as a PhD from the University of North Texas and a PHH from The University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. Carter’s academic field is medical sociology, which she occasionally teaches at UE and Harlaxton. She travels widely for work, personally, and as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
