Jean Wenner

Jean (she/her/hers) is a Business Immigration Consultant at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, & Loewy, LLP. She brings extensive experience to her role, having served as an immigration specialist at the University of Pittsburgh for nine years. Currently, Jean is the NAFSA Region VIII Chair, reflecting her ongoing commitment to advancing international education. Raised in the “Steel City” (Pittsburgh), she has studied, worked, and lived in various locations around the globe, returning to her hometown with a broadened perspective enriched by her international experiences. Prior to her time at Pitt, Jean taught English as a foreign language in Thailand for a year and worked in education abroad in Idaho, further developing her expertise in cross-cultural engagement. Jean earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Bowling Green State University and has a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. When she’s not working, you will find her with her two adorable goldendoodles, crocheting cute things, or spending time with family and friends.
