Kara Pike Inman, EdD

Kara Pike Inman, EdD, is the director of education abroad at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In addition to administrative responsibilities related to education abroad, she is also the instructor of an Honors Enrichment Seminar, courses in intercultural communication and international education, and faculty-leader for two annual short-term education abroad programs. She received her bachelor’s degree in international studies, Spanish, and mass communication from the University of Evansville, her master’s degree in international affairs from Ohio University, and her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She has presented on international education topics at numerous conferences including the NAFSA Annual Conference, Forum on Education Abroad Annual Conference, Asia-Pacific Association for International Education, NAFSA Region VI, NAFSA Region VII, Career Integration Conference, Mountain Interstate Foreign Language Conference, North Carolina Association of International Educators, and NCACE Conference. Kara is a trainer for NAFSA Trainer Corps and has served on advisory boards for the American Institute for Foreign Study and International Studies Abroad.
