Kemi Onajole is the director of the International Center at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). She has over 15 years of experience in higher education, with specific experiences in international education, international education, immigration advising and student affairs and has been a member of NAFSA for the same number of years. In her current role she serves as the principal designated school official (PDSO) and responsible officer (RO) for the university's three campuses, oversees operations and administer immigration services to over 4,000 international students (including US employed postgraduates), 150 international faculty and research scholars, and over 100 study abroad students, and collaborates on matters associated with regulation compliance and experiences of international students and scholars on campus. Kemi also serves as a member of different on-campus committees including the Student Success Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion committee.
