Khalilah A. Shabazz, PhD

Khalilah A. Shabazz, Ph.D. is a cultural competency educator, higher education administrator, and dialogue facilitator. She currently serves as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at IUPUI where she spearheads the efforts to promote the success of diverse students by coordinating campus wide strategic retention & support initiatives. She holds a Masters and Ph.D. in Higher Education from Indiana University and has a 20-year progressive career in higher education administration, teaching, consulting, and educating nationwide. Her experience expands beyond the college classroom and administrative realm to the community where she engages organizations, schools, and businesses in personalized workshops and trainings to enhance cultural competency, diversity and inclusion efforts. In addition to her professional career, Dr. Shabazz is an active member in leadership with Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.; the President & Founder of SAAS National Organization Inc.; and co-pilot of a blended family with 8 daughters.
