Linwood Whitten, PhD

Linwood B. Whitten, PhD, currently serves as the director of diversity and international affairs at Alabama State University (ASU), where he is also the Title IX coordinator for the institution. In his role at ASU, he serves as the principal designated school official (PDSO) and responsible officer (RO) and also oversees diversity and inclusion initiatives on campus to ensure equity and access for all underrepresented students, faculty, and staff. In addition to serving as the NAFSA Region VII HBCU/MSI representative, he was selected by the nationally acclaimed Diversity Abroad Network in Global Education (Diversity Abroad) to serve as a task force member for minority-serving institutions.
