Patrice Twomey

University of Limerick

Patrice Twomey is the director of cooperative education and careers at the University of Limerick (UL). She has responsibility for leading employability provision at UL, which has one of the largest undergraduate work placement programmes in Europe. Her professional interests are in the areas of work-integrated learning, university-industry engagement, graduate readiness and competencies, and regional development. A graduate of University College Cork and postgraduate of the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), Patrice is currently pursuing a professional doctorate at the University of Bath (UK). Her thesis focuses on the role of organisational socialisation in internship outcomes. She is a governor of the World Association for Cooperative Education.
