Santiago Castiello-Gutiérrez
Santiago is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Arizona’s Center for the Study of Higher Education. He is also coordinator for the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC)’s mobility programs. He is a co-author of several publications including refereed articles, book chapters, and encyclopedia entries. Prior to moving to the United States, Santiago worked for nine years in México as director for international cooperation at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) where he later served as Director for International Programs of ITESM’s shared services center. Santiago is also a CONACyT fellowship recipient and has been distinguished as an Erasmus Circle Scholar by the University of Arizona College of Education. He is a 2019 recipient of the Harold Josephson Award for Professional Promise in International Education of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA). He is currently a member of the emerging scholar-practitioner working group within the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLS) Knowledge Community (KC).
