Sarah Westmoreland is the senior adviser for education abroad initiatives at the University of Colorado Boulder. Westmoreland has worked in the education abroad office at CU Boulder since 2005 in a variety of capacities including software management, management of Buffs Abroad Scholarship process, research for program development and access, advising pre-health students, and advising on the regional team for Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. She holds a master's degree in public health from the Colorado School of Public Health. She studied abroad on the CIEE: Rennes, France program. After completing her undergraduate degree in MCDB and French at CU Boulder and working for a year as a peer advisor for the CU Education Abroad office, she spent six months in Tunisia doing an internship at AMIDEAST through AIESEC. She also spent a year in France as a teaching assistant in a French high school. In 2020, Westmoreland will be the chair-designate of NAFSA’s Education Abroad Regulatory Practice Committee.
