Yuko Ikegami Lee, MEd, is a practitioner-scholar at the University of British Columbia, Canada. In her current role as academic advisor, for the faculty of science, she interacts with international students and domestic students who are second- and third-generation immigrants, reflecting Canada's deep-rooted immigration history. Originally hailed from Tokyo, Japan, her practice is informed by her lived experiences, learning (and re-learning), as well as the current research in Critical Internationalization Studies. Her research interests include STEM academic advising, social justice, human rights, and diversity and inclusion on campus. She is currently a member of the Emerging Scholar-Practitioner Working Group (ESPWG) within the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLS) Knowledge Community (KC).
