An August 13, 2004 DHS interim rule extends the time period that certain Mexican nationals may remain in the United States without obtaining additional documentation. Effective August 13, 2004, Mexican nationals who present Form DSP-150 [B-1/B-2 Visa and Border Crossing Card (BCC)] may remain in the United States for up to 30 days within 25 miles of the border (75 miles within Arizona) without being issued a Form I-94. Previously, the regulations limited their time of stay to less than 72 hours. AMDOC#: 200408012
