A new version of Form DS-7002 [version 08-2009, expiration date 08/31/2012] is now available, and exchange program sponsors should begin using the form now. This version of the form adds fields relevant to Student Interns, as well as brings the language of the form closer to the language in the trainee/intern regulations. DOS has been asked to allow a grace period during which the prior version of the form currently in circulation would continue to be valid, but DOS has not yet confirmed such a grace period.
